We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Chabad’s Children of Chernobyl’s (CCOC) 89th emergency airlift to Israel!
This flight arrived at Ben-Gurion Airport on Thursday, December 10, 2009, with 14 children on board… just in time for Chanukah… our own special miracle!
Ilia, the young boy (pictured in center above), who was rescued over a year ago, was reunited with his six-year-old twin brothers, Igor and Michal, who he had not seen since he left the Chernobyl region.
This flight was sponsored by dear friends of CCOC, Harris and Linda Toibb—the recipients of the Underwriters’ Award at the 2009 Children at Heart Gala.
